We could not have chosen a worse time economically to try to sell our home. It was October of 2008 just as the economy was taking a nose dive. We knew that we wanted to purchase a larger home, on a larger lot, in a quieter neighborhood. But to make this happen, we had to sell our house. We called on Jon to see if he wanted the challenge.  Jon was very up front with us that it may take a while to sell because of the economy. He priced our home competitively and almost immediately we began having showings. At the same time, Jon was showing us numerous houses that we may want to purchase. Jon was always patient even with our long list of demands. We quickly found a house to purchase. Jon was able to secure us a contingent offer for 90 days so we could sell our house. Then the waiting began.  After 90 days we did not sell. Jon was able to get us another 30 day contingency. On day 100 of this process an offer came in. That however, was not good enough for Jon. He called other agents that had clients looking at our house and by the end of the day we had 2 competing offers on our house. Jon was very skilled in helping us make counter offers and securing the sale of our home. By the end of February, we were in our new home and enjoying the extra space that it had to offer.  If we decide to sell or buy a home again, we will not hesitate to call Jon, and we can confidently recommend him to anyone who is purchasing or selling a home in the Valparaiso area.
